Poppy Parker's Adorable Ugly Christmas Sweater Shoot✨

Updated: Dec 1

Hey Sparkle Besties!

I’m thrilled to share a delightful holiday project that brought me so much joy—our cute-ugly Christmas sweater photo shoot featuring my fabulous Poppy Parker dolls! 🎄✨

This year, I’ve really embraced the spirit of creativity by transforming some ugly Christmas sweater ornaments I found at Hobby Lobby (50% off, can you believe it?) into adorable doll sweaters. They capture the playful essence of the season and add such a whimsical touch to our holiday photos. To use these Christmas sweaters as ornaments, I simply cut out the hanger from each sweater and adjusted them to fit the Poppys by folding them in the back. A little hot glue makes it easy to keep them in place, and the best part is that it’s simple to peel apart—rubbing alcohol takes the glue right off! 🫶🏽

Where to Find Cute-Ugly Christmas Sweater Ornaments:

There are also other stores besides Hobby Lobby where you can purchase these adorable Christmas sweater ornaments. We found some listed online at World Market, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, and At Home. All were on sale and super cute! You’ll want to get these quick because they’ll be sold out soon! And if you spoil your dollies like I do, then you already know doll clothes aren’t cheap, so you better RUN to grab some of these cute-ugly sweaters!

In the spotlight, we have three stunning Poppy Parker dolls, each exuding their own unique charm with pouty faces and a modelesque vibe. Let’s take a closer look at their fabulous styles:

1. Poppy from the Palm Springs Duo Gift Set Collection: She sports a natural fro gently pulled into a top bun, showcasing her beautiful curls. This look is both chic and effortless, embodying the laid-back elegance of Palm Springs.

2. Dessert Dazzler Poppy: Dressed in a braided ponytail updo with a swoop bang, her hair shines in a lovely golden tone. This style adds a playful yet sophisticated flair, making her the perfect centerpiece for our holiday gathering.

3. Lemon Lullaby Poppy: Rocking long, flowing box braids that have been individually rerooted, she represents a beautiful style rooted in African origins. Her radiant look celebrates diversity and adds a touch of cultural richness to our holiday ensemble.

The girls look simply adorable, with a hint of snobbery that only Poppy Parker can pull off! The backdrop of our photo shoot features our handmade Christmas décor, which sets the perfect festive scene.

We have a beautiful Christmas tree adorned with handmade ornaments, some sparkling with hand placed crystals, plaid bows, and even gingerbread men with shimmering buttons. The floor is covered with Christmas presents and fluffy white snow, immersing the scene in holiday magic.

And let’s not forget our stunning red Christmas sleigh, embellished with individually placed red crystals that sparkle beautifully. It’s the ultimate accessory for these dolls, showcasing how they effortlessly slay any fashion look!

Memory Unlocked:

I vividly remember staying up all night on Christmas Eve, gazing out the frost-covered window, eagerly hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa’s sleigh landing at our apartment. I had so many concerns swirling in my mind—especially since we didn’t have a fireplace. Would he miss our house? Where would his sleigh even land? Eventually, I passed out from sheer excitement, only to wake up and find that the presents had safely landed under the tree, and he had devoured the cookies I had baked!

Tips for Your Own Doll Holiday Shoot:✨

If you’re inspired to create your own holiday-themed photo shoot, here are a few tips:

I hope you enjoy this peek into our holiday festivities as much as I enjoyed creating it! What are your favorite holiday traditions? I’d love to hear how you celebrate the season with your dolls!

Sending love and sparkle to each one of you! I’m so grateful for this amazing community! 💖✨
