Chosen for More: Affirmations Anchored in Scripture

Updated: Jan 6

—A faith-based declaration, speaking God’s promises aloud—believing, declaring, and

trusting Him to make visible what He has already spoken.

“As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”— Romans 4:17

Introduction

Sparkle Bestie,

I wanted to try something a little different than my usual devotional posts. Today, I want to dive straight into affirming some powerful spiritual truths. Recently, I found myself slipping into old thought patterns—territory I thought I had left behind. This moment reminded me to be gentle with myself, giving grace where I need it, while also digging my heels deeper into believing what God has spoken over my life.

As you practice these affirmations, remember: you are not denying what currently exists—you are establishing what God has already declared to be true concerning the life He desires for you.
Faith does not ignore circumstances; it refuses to give them the final authority. Through Christ, you have been redeemed and delivered from the authority of darkness. Because of this, circumstances do not have the right to define your future or determine the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life.

There is no power in denial, but there is great power in agreeing with God—calling forth victory in the face of apparent defeat and speaking life where opposition may still appear.

A Prayer to Seal This Practice

Dear Lord,

Today I come before You with a grateful heart, thanking You for the beautiful life You have promised me. Thank You that You are faithful to do exactly what You have spoken concerning my life, for Your Word never returns void.

Father, grant me courage, boldness, and strength to pursue the life You have intentionally designed for me. I place my life fully in Your hands and commit to seeking Your guidance daily. As time passes, I pray that my relationship with You would grow deeper, stronger, and more intimate.

Thank You for the authority and dominion You have given me through Christ—authority to resist darkness and to walk in the freedom You have secured for me. As I affirm Your Word each day, I ask for grace, knowing that I may not always be perfect. Quicken my spirit, Lord, so that I am sensitive to Your leading and quick to realign my posture whenever old patterns try to resurface.

Renew my mind and align my heart with Your truth as I speak and decree Your Word. I declare that victory is my portion. I will live a full, healthy, abundant, joyful, and prosperous life as I walk hand in hand with You.

This is the day that You have made, and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Closing

Sparkle Bestie,

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your spiritual journey. It is my prayer that you continue to walk closely with the Lord and that He gently leads you into the fullness of every promise spoken over your life.

As you practice these affirmations regularly, know that I am doing the same—standing in faith, speaking God’s Word, and trusting Him to bring it to pass. Always remember that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and together, we are choosing life.

(Proverbs 18:21)

May your days be filled with God’s love, His light, and the assurance that He is faithfully at work in you.

Sending you love and sparkle,

Shakila B.
