Trusting the Journey
Hey Sparkle Besties!✨
As we step into a new year, I’ve made a heartfelt commitment to trust my journey, no matter what the outside world may suggest. This year is all about cultivating a deep sense of faith—believing that I’m on the right path even before any visible signs of progress appear.
I’ve learned to stop “digging up my seeds” to check their growth. Instead, I plant my intentions, nurture them with prayer, follow my heart, and let go of that constant need to know when things will materialize. By doing this, I honor the process and allow everything to unfold in its perfect timing.
Shifting Perspectives
Reflecting on this journey has led me to a key realization: the only thing separating me from my goals is my perspective. If I see myself as distant from my dreams, that’s exactly where I’ll remain. But if I envision myself in the process of achieving them—fully feeling what that looks and feels like—I’m already moving closer to success!
This year is about faith, alignment, and trusting the journey, knowing that everything is shifting and evolving—even when I can’t yet see it.
Standing Firm Against Naysayers
As I embrace this perspective, it becomes vital to stick to our plans, even when the world around us doesn’t understand. External validation can be nice; it helps us check the tempo of the outside world and ensures we’re not veering too far off course. But what happens when that validation turns into doubt and the naysayers get louder than our inner voice?
This is the moment we must lean into our inner voice and ensure our path aligns with our true desires. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says or does. I’ve learned that there will be times in our lives—multiple times—when we’ll walk a path that few will understand. But trust that God will always provide the helpers we need along the way. This is when we must learn to be open to the unfolding and flexible in how everything comes together.
Building a Solid Foundation
In this process, I cherish the alone time I’ve had to learn more about who God says I am and what I’m capable of. This has allowed me to build a solid foundation for my endeavors, rooted in principles and truth that will provide the longevity I need and a place of solace in times of uncertainty.
While I can admit that I want those around me to believe in me and my dreams, I also recognize that the journey wouldn’t be as fulfilling if everything were perfect. Imagine if everyone agreed with everything you did from the moment you were born. Where would the lessons be? How could you truly grow? I’m grateful for the failures, setbacks, hardships, and dare I say, unbelief because they have shaped me into who I am today.
Now, is it easy? Absolutely not! God never said the weapons wouldn’t form; He said they wouldn’t prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Finding Peace Amidst Doubt
Even when others don’t believe in me, I know it’s still okay. Their belief doesn’t shape my reality—my thoughts do. It's my job to forgive them immediately because, to complete my mission, I need to be at peace. I can’t dwell on who believes, what they say, or the negativity swirling around. It’s my responsibility to forgive them for what they can't see, move in faith, and trust that everything I need will be provided for me as I keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Enjoying the Process
As I navigate this journey, I’ve learned to shift my focus from the result to enjoying the process. After all, this is what it’s all about—a process. So why not stop and smell the flowers, release the pressures, and be grateful for the entire journey? There’s so much unfolding right now that I can’t even see it, and I’ll need to revisit it later to see all that God has done.
Staying in Tune with Your Inner Voice
To further support this journey, here are a few additional tips to help you stay connected with your inner voice and resist the urge for external validation:
1. Daily Reflection: Set aside a few moments each day to reflect on your thoughts and feelings. Journaling can be a powerful way to clarify your inner voice and track your progress.
2. Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness exercises or meditation to help quiet the noise around you. This can create space for your true desires and dreams to emerge.
3. Affirm Your Worth: Create a list of positive affirmations that resonate with you. Repeat them daily to reinforce your self-worth and remind yourself that you are enough.
4. Limit Social Media Exposure: Consider taking breaks from social media or curating your feed to include only those who inspire and uplift you. This can help diminish the influence of external opinions.
5. Seek Out Inspiration: Surround yourself with books, podcasts, or art that inspire you. This can nurture your creativity and reinforce your artistic identity.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for guiding us on our unique journeys. Help us to trust in Your timing and remain steadfast in our faith, even when the world seems to cast doubt on our dreams. Grant us the strength to embrace our true selves and to focus on the positive. May we always seek Your presence and find peace in knowing that we are enough, just as we are. Fill our hearts with courage to pursue our passions and remind us that we are beautifully created in Your image. Amen.
